Perhaps I got a bad batch of chicken? CR Chicks is one of my favorite places in all of Palm Beach County but I was severely underwhelmed by this location in particular. First of all, this place is much smaller than the other CR Chicks across PBC. That can make it rather cramped when trying to eat here. I ordered my usual of white meat chicken and two sides (usually green beans and carrots) and I was a little disappointed at how dry my chicken was. It was honestly the first time I've ever been disappointed by CR Chicks chicken. The green beans were kind of rubbery. The carrots were, however, on point. They were easily the best part of the meal. Staff was friendly, but I think I would stick to my Village Blvd. CR Chicks over this one any day.

This place is a great little secret! The motif is super cute. Like a little beach hut :) the rotisserie chicken was super tasty!! I ordered a chicken pot pie and it was warm cozy perfect. There was a flaky, tender crust and the filling was packed with huge chunks of chicken and veggies. I also had a delicious piece of chocolate banana pie which was to die for. The price was fair and there was plenty of seating inside. I can't wait to return :)

Disgusting. Red. Bloody. Undercooked chicken. Never again! So after a long day at work and being pregnant the last thing I thought about was trying to cook dinner. On the way home I decided to stop at C.R. Chicks. Got a salad, a smokey and a kids meal for my little one. Got home and opened up my baby's meal and low and behold. Uncooked, bloody, nasty chicken!!! How disgusting!! Is this acceptable to serve???? I'll never be back!

ORDER THE SMOKEY. No doubt about it one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had. The sauce is a delicious, creamy burst of flavor and the chicken is always perfectly cooked. IF you don't feel like ordering the smokey then the rotisserie chicken that's cooked in house is juicy and moist. The mashed potatoes, pasta salad, and potato salad are the best sides there.

Yeah I'm not taken by the chicken here. It's rotisserie chicken but sort of plain. Not bad or anything. First the good: place is clean, service was fast and good, price point is good for what it is. We had a a 1/4 chicken, mash and coleslaw and a 1/2 chicken, Mash and cucumber salad thing. The Mash potatoes were excellent, cucumber salad was ok a little on the squishy side, Cole slaw was interesting if you like them on the vinegar side of the equation I liked it better than my wife. Both the chicken and sides were large portions. Everything had the home cooked less processed feel. No real bad things but in my opinion i'd rather do La Granja or honestly a Costco chicken. I just find there chicken better seasoned at those places. I will say if I ate here again I would try the sandwiches. they looked good. I get what people like about this place but it's just not for me.

This place is great! My most recent experience... we catered with them last week for work & they did a great job. Delivered right on time, food was hot and on point as usual. With my receipt they left me a card for a free lunch saying thank you so I hit them up the next day & again it was right on point. I also love doing their take out. I can feed my family of 5 for under $20. By the way Jane who works there is a pleasure!

Ok, The chicken is pretty good but here is my big concern. What makes the Chicken so special that they charge $8 for a Chicken Sandwich and $10.25 for Chicken and Pasta. I am sorry but that is ridiculous compared to the competition. The don't have a Chop nor do they offer a Salad with Grilled Chicken, they give you a bowl of lettuce and Tomatoes and place a quarter greasy/buttery Chicken on top of the Salad. WHat am I supposed to do with the bones and skin, mix it in the Salad. Competiiton like Pollo Tropical and Chipotle and Tijuana Flats offers Chicken sliced and offers salads with Sliced Chicken on it. So does Chick Fila, PDQ, and Duffys down the street. They need to get with the program and change the menu, not everyone wants to get their hands dirty and greasy by pulling apart chicken. That's fine, but there is no Chicken choices, its early Chicken on the Bone or an $8 dollar Sandwich. La Granja even offers Chicken Breast on a plate with sides. The best thing on the menu are the Chocolate Chip cookies, not good to hear if their claim to fame is Chicken.

The manager, Jane, is the best!!! This is my 4 year old nieces favorite place to eat (she orders a smokey and shares it and loves it!!). Jane is great with her!!! So much so that my niece drew a picture for Jane one day when she went in to eat and Jane wasn't there!! Awesome service...and really yummy chicken!! Smokeys...chicken breast sammy...chicken caesar salad...rice and beans...it's all good!! I stop here every time I'm visiting the fam...and this trip, I stopped in twice!

Beware - free advice: A proven equation for restaurant ANY success, that not enough people follow. 1 - Do ONE thing exceptionally (in this case, chicken). They roast those birds on a giant rotisserie in the front window, so not only does the light glistening off the golden brown chickens catch your eyes from the outside, but the incredible smell hits your nose right as you walk in. While everyone knows you first eat with your eyes, what you smell is a big factor of your excitement level for what you're about to eat. 2 - Keep is SIMPLE. Once you have created something better than your peers (step 1), don't over-complicate it and remove the essence of greatness that you worked so hard to create. This place has a simple menu with a few items - combo plates with roast chicken and sides, a couple 'basic' sandwiches, and I'm not even sure what else. 3 - LOVE what you do. It couldn't be more cliché, but instead of just hating on clichés, think for a second how something became "cliché"? Chances are people say it all the time because it's so true. The folks behind the counter served the food and interacted with the customers with an enthusiasm and authenticity unrivaled by any other big chain chicken restaurant (or most any other restaurant at all). They've got a great product that's easy to take pride in, but instead of being cocky (not a chicken pun, until now) about it, they're genuinely excited to share their creation with you. In my opinion, these are the places you have the best meals sometimes. It's not white-napkin service and $50 steaks, but it's great because they execute the simple formula (above) to perfection. In summary - I had the chicken salad sandwich (CSS), which was perfect. Succulent roast chicken that is coarsely shredded makes up 95% of the chicken salad. The other 5% is the necessary seasoning and or glue (mayo - but just enough). Lastly, if you take amazing chicken salad and absolutely load it up on a perfectly soft sandwich roll, you get one of the best chicken salad sandwiches I've ever eaten. Bold statement, but I challenge you to find one better. And definitely let me know where I can find it. Thanks for the awesome lunch, I can't wait to be back in that part of town so I can stop by again. *sidenote 1 - The gazpacho was delicious, but the sandwich was so huge and filling I couldn't eat much soup. Next time I will probably go half sandwich and cup of gazpacho. And if Samuel L. Jackson happens to be reading this, don't worry - it's not "hotspacho!" youtube.com/watch?v=eaYG… (trust me). *sidenote 2 - Another review said the cucumber salad was "refreshingly unusual" - which I took to be a good thing. In my opinion it was unusual, but not refreshing as the cukes were sliced thin and covered in mayo-y goop. One taste was "unique", but an entire side order heaped on my plate was waaay to much for me.
